lyrics

It's Winter Now
written by Kat Burns

Yesterday, I looked out at my garden
All the garlic buried in the frozen ground.
Just months ago in bloom, greens and purples all around..
It was spring back then and it's winter now.

Foggy nights and frosty windows
Nothing ever seems to look the same out here
under a blanket of snow, falling without a sound.
It was spring back then, and it's winter now.

Like the seasons we are ever changing
A grain of sand between the tides.
We're all caught inside the cycle of constant rearranging our lives.

And may our footsteps leave their mark somehow,
for the spring next year and the winter now.
